Floy Dick married Roy Freeman Guffey on February 26, 1922, in Marshall County, Alabama. Roy was the son of Ephraim Monroe Guffey and Susan Elizabeth "Bettie" Willmon. Floy was the daughter of Bixie and Lizzie Dick, who died when Floy was a young girl being raised on the Great Plains near Oklahoma. She had a sister named Mexie Dick Helton. Floy was born February 2, 1902, and died February 27, 1994. She and Roy were accomplished singers and members of the Free Holiness Church on Gunter's Mountain in Marshall County, Alabama.
