I am looking for any information about ROBERT DICK, who was born in Gartsherrie in about 1874. The 1881 Census shows a household at 130 Bothwell Park Rows, Bothwell, Lanark as WILLIAM DICK (37, coal miner, born in Glasgow, Lanark), MARY DICK (27 wife, born in Kilwinning, Ayr) WILLIAM (11, born Gartsherrie, Lanark), ROBERT (7, born Gartsherrie, Lanark) and MARY(5, Gartsherrie).
Robert Dick married JANE SNEDDEN (or SNEDDON) b. Dalhousie, Scotland, about 1879 in Korumburra, Victoria, Australia, in 1897. Their children were William, John, Ellen (or Helen?), Mary, Robert (born 27.4.1907) and Jean. I do not know whether Robert Dick and Jane Snedden came to Australia together or whether Robert came as a child with his family.
I would be grateful for any information about Robert Dick or when and how he and/or his family came to Australia.
