Am interested in any information about my family, particularly my grandfather, Alick McDonald DICK, born 20.12.1905 in London England. Married Lillian HARDING, and they emigrated to Australia. Only child of that marriage, George Alick (my father) born at Leura near Sydney in 1930. Alick enlisted in Australian Army in 1940, and saw service in Middle East. Service number NX10134. Later divorced Lillian and married twice more - 1st at Annandale in Sydney, Australia, in 1950. 2nd at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia, in 1959. Died in Melbourne 26.4.1961. Am particularly interested in any information regarding his second and third marriages, war service, or other relatives in England. Alick and Lillian emigrated with Alick's father, George DICK. (my great grandfather) George was born at Grantham-on-Spey, Scotland, and moved to London to join the Police Force. (late 1800's) He retired, as required then, at 40 or 45, and received a pension for life. On the death of his wife in England, he decided to emigrate with his son to Australia. George was known as Obie.
