Hello again to all the Dick Family researchers: I am still trying to find out who were the parents and siblings of my ggggGrandfather and ggggGrandmother(David and Ellen/Elinor {Simpson} Dick). Their children were Mary, Jane, Agness(Nancy), Sarah, John, William, David, and James. The info. I have concerning their migration route was from northern Rockbridge Co. VA in the 1780's to Allegheny Co. VA(still Botetourt at this time)around modern day Ogle's Ck. at Callaghan VA and then to Greenbrier Co.VA during the 1790's(in the area which is modern day eastern Summers Co. and western Monroe Co. West Virginia) at Little Wolf Ck., Little Stoney Ck., and Bradshaw Run. I desperately need to find out where this family was before Rockbridge Co.. There was an Abraham Dick in Rockbridge Co. and Allegheny Co. at the same time David was there, but around 1799/1800, Abe and his wife Jean/Jane Rhea left to settle land south of the Green River in Kentucky in Barren Co.(somewhere on the Little Barren River in modern day Hart, Green, or Metcalfe Co. KY). All families to which my Dick Family are kin: Adkins,Booton,Bragg,Cales,Canterbury,Childers,Dixon,Dunkle,Garten,Gilkerson,Jarrell,Lively,Meadows,Morris,Simpson,Spurlock. Anybody that has any info. as to where these families were around the mid 1700's or before, please contact me at jamesdaviddick@aol.com A Sincere Thanks to all, Jim
