Joel Dibble of Pawling

George W. Morse, brother to my ggg grandfather James, died in East Fishkill in 1894. His death certificate gives his parents' names as Jason Morse and Jane Dibble. James' death ceritificate gives "Unknown" for both his parents. Joel Dibble's will mentions his wife Rachel (from what I can find, she was his second wife and not Hester's mother), children Joel, Ebenezer, Elisabeth, Esther (a variation on Hester), Rhuamah, David, and Lucy. He also mentions a grandson, Hiram Knapp, which I construe as the reason many people say Hester/Esther Jane Dibble probably married a Knapp, but I have found no proof. My thought is if Hester is Hiram's mother, then why is Hiram to be brought up by Joel, Jr. out of Joel, Sr.'s estate? Further on in the will, Joel, Sr. says that his property is to be divided up among his children except for Ebenezer, Elisabeth, Esther, and Rhuamah to whom he has given as much as he expects.
I just can't get past the exact one year difference in the birthdate of Hester Jane Dibble and Hester Maiden Name Unknown Morse. Joel's Hester is said to have been born 6 Mar 1784 and Hester Morse looks to have been born 6 Mar 1785 Her stone in Fishkill Plains Baptist Churchyard says Hester, wife of Jason Morse, died Dec. 26, 1850, aged 65 years, 9 mo., 20 days.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone with knowledge of the Dibble family of Pawling, especially Hester/Esther Jane. Thank you.
