Hello
I'm Bob Dies from CT, but born and raised in Oklahoma City. My great great grandfather was the Robert Dies (b1825 Smith Cty Tn). I have been to TN but not Dixon Springs. My grandfather (James Edgar Dies b1882 and his father John Dies b1849) both were living around Lafayette TN. When I went to the courthouse to get records I was told it burned down circa 1900 and records were lost, but did find John Dies 1849-1916) grave with his wife Mary Roark just outside TN on what was then the Roark farm.

In any case, the Dixon Springs connection ties to the Dies/Dias/Dice coming out of Lafayette.

Also, Edward Dies in Mt. Juliet TN has quite information on another Robert Dies son Thomas (who was Edwards Great grandfather).

Good luck poking around.

Bob
