Many thanks for your message.
Yes I have seen the Mayo ancestors site, was very usefull.
Unfortunately so far I have'nt managed to find the names of Peter Diamonds parents so not sure if they were living in Mayo or if he arrived from Ulster.
I will keep checking and hopefully will find the answer someday.
Regarding the previous posted messages, Peter Diamond is my cousin and the e mail address for Anna Lynsky is no longer in use.
Thanks again for the message, if I manage to find anything futher I will let you know
