I am also confused by the Diamond, Hicks, Blencow muddle. Shurely at least two of these are the same person via successive marriages or alias names. If you even get it figured out please let me know. Your Diamond line is interesting. i also have Sheaffe's: My Elizabeth Sheaffe married Moses Paine (immigrant). Please note the Sheaffe paper by W. H. Watkins in NEHGR v. 55 (1901): 208-220.
