I am positive we are related!
Over the last 2 or 3 days I have been doing some research on Scotlandspeople.gov.uk where they have wonderful on-line access to GROS records. My husband was scouting some family tree software for me and I ended up on GenForum for a looksee. Low and behold, I read your post of Sept 4th and bingo! I'm not sure where where you sit in my family tree but you definitely do! Here is my info:
My mother was Margaret Quinn, daughter of Elizabeth Diamond and Thomas Quinn (both of Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland), who was the daughter of Lawrence Diamond and Margaret Crowe, who was the son of Hugh Diamond (Diarmid)(of Ireland) and Mary Owens (of Ayton, Berwickshire). Lawrence Diamond had brothers Michael, Hugh and Stephen and sisters Ellen, Catherine and Alice. That's as far as I've got in the line.
