I am searching for the parents and siblings of George Robert Diamond, born ca. 1840/AL, and according to family tradition, he served in the Civil War from AL. He married Martha Ann Hasseltine Scott in Escambia Co. AL in 1870. They ultimately moved to Harrison Co. MS, where they had 5 children, John Thomas, born 1872, Annie Elizabeth , born 1877, George Robert, Jr. born 1880, Minnie Lee , born 1882, and Pearl, born 1884. George and Martha separated in 1895, she remained in MS, and he went (according to family tradition) to live with relatives in FL. I have been unable to locate his whereabouts in FL, or to determine a death date on him. I have also been unable to confirm Civil War Service. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have something on this line.
