I'm not a Diamond researcher but have an extensive bio for Elijah Diamond of Carroll Co., Coon Rapids, Iowa from the 1912 History of Carroll Co., Iowa. It states that he was born in DeKalb Co., ILL, on 2 Sep 1870, son of William and Adeline (LaBoe) Diamond. William was a native of Steuben Co., NY, born 1832. William Diamond was the son of Jacob and Eliza (Ives) Diamond, natives of New York, where Jacob passed away in Oswego County. Jacob and Eliza had sons: Jacob, William, Frederick, and Joshua.
