Maureen: My Diamond family came from County
Derry: James Diamond (1784-1851) married
Jane McEldowney (1794-1866) in County Derry.
They had the following children born in Ireland: George (1820-1873); Alice (1822-
1862) and James (1825-1879). They came to New York in 1826 and settled in Rondout,
Kingston, Ulster County, NY. Members of their family in Ireland married into the Mulholland family. They probably attended St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Granaghan,
Parish of Killelagh, County Derry. Would be
happy to exchange info if there is any connection. Jim
