Hi! My husbands descends from the couple you are interested in through their some James Thomason and Elizabeth Hendon. I had heard, but have not reserached this, that his parents were John Patrick Diamond of Bute, Scotland and she was Elizabeth Stuart -- like I said I haven't reserached this at all -- I do believe, however, that this is the source of the rumor that the family descends from the House of Stuarts. For what it is worth, I would be happy to exchange information. Pat Keenan.
