I would like to ask for any information about the diamond family history within the UK.
I was born in Portsmouth, England in 1954
the son of Roy Diamond and
Joan Ellen Diamond nee Brookes
My Grandfathers name was Richard and he lived in Portsmouth as well until his death in the 70's.
My Mother died when I was very young and my father couldn't cope, so he left me to be brought up by my "other" grandmother (my mothers side) who he didn't get on with very well. The end result being that I never saw my father again after I was four. I know my father married again as I tracked down my step mother and my half brothers and sisters in 1989. She had remarried but unfortunately lost her husband months prior to my contacting her. We met, but it distressed her terribly. I tried to arrange another visit but after a while thought it better that I would leave it until she felt that she (or my half brothers and sisters) could contact me. To date, no one ever has ... I'm still waiting ...
I would like to find out about my family ancestry, so if anyone has any information about family within the UK please please please contact me.
