4c.Charles Lafayette (Lafe) Diamond was born January 1864. He married first Martha J. Derefield December 14, 1881 in Lawrence County by D. W. Campbell at the home of her parents.She was born in 1864 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, daughter of David Derefield and Malissa Culver. Ben E. Diamond and John Frazier witnessed the marriage. She died March 27, 1883 on Two Mile Creek. The obituary was listed in the Ashland Independent April 12, 1883.
Lafe married second Winnie Katherine (Kate) Tackett December 24, 1883 in Lawrence County. Kate was born March 1861 in Kentucky, daughter of Lewis Tackett and Nancy Blevins. Their three children were born in Lawrence County.
Charles and Winnie were living in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio, ED 147, in 1920. Charles is listed as a minister. Also living with them are John Pennington 20, Thomas Griffiths, 35, and Catherine Griffiths, 20. Lafe was living with son Burley in 1930. He died March 28, 1931 in Portsmouth, Lawrence County, Ohio. He was buried in Portsmouth, Greenlawn Cemetery
4c1. William Virgil Diamond was born August 3, 1885. He married first Nancy J. (Nannie) Perry Caines 1905 in Lawrence County. She was born May 26, 1886 daughter of unknown Perry and Martha Ellis and granddaughter of Guy and Francis Ellis. Her step father was Thomas Caines. They lived in Radnor, West Virginia. They had four children. She died November 1, 1916 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio and was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio. She had been visiting her mother in Kentucky and had started back to Columbus when she became ill. William was a brakeman for B&O Railroad in 1910.
He married second Fannie Reynolds. She was born August 17, 1897 and died October 1977. They had a daughter. William and Fannie were divorced. She is buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne County, West Virginia.
He married third Laura.
He married fourth Tilda Lowe November 21, 1934 in Pike County, Kentucky
He married fifth Bessie.
He was living in the Williamson District of Mingo County, West Virginia in 1930 dated April 3 and in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio April 24th. The two daughters are in both censuses, renting for $35/month and worked for the steam railroad. His is listed with daughters Ida, 16 and Imojean, 5. Flora Huff, age 47, a single servant W. Va. Census only, was living with them. William was buried in Minford, Ohio next to his fifth wife’s stepfather.

4c2. Burley A. Diamond was born January 21, 1887. He married first Matilda. She was born in 1887. In 1910, they were living in Scioto County, Ohio. Burley was a fireman for the railroad in Clay Township. They had a daughter Chloe. In 1920, Burley and Matilda are living in Logan County, West Virginia. Burley was a coal miner with children Chloe, Mildred, Charley, Robert and June. They had six children.
He married second Theodia (Dosha) Berry September 22, 1923 in Lawrence County (there is also a marriage record for the same marriage in Wayne County, West Virginia dated two days later). Dosha was born July 1898 in Lawrence County, daughter of James A. Berry and Deresa Frances Spillman. They had six children. They are listed in the 1930 Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio census. He was a laborer. They rented for $10 a month. His parents were living with them.
Dosha died February 8, 1976 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. He died March 14, 1955 in Wayne County, West Virginia
4c2a. Chloe Diamond was born November 1909 in West Virginia. She married a Lain and lived in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio at the time of her brother Robert’s death.
4c2b. Mildred Diamond was born in 1912 in Ohio. In 1930, she was a panel trimmer in a shoe factory. She married a Smith. She lived in Columbus, Ohio when her brother Robert died.
4c2c. Charles (Charley) Diamond was born in 1914 in Ohio.
4c2d. Robert Diamond was born in 1916 in West Virginia. He married Louise and had a daughter. He died December 1946 in Franklin County, Ohio.
4c2c1. Carolyn Ann Diamond was born in 1943.
4c2e. June Diamond was born in 1918 in West Virginia. She married a McKenzie. She was living in Columbus, Ohio when her brother Robert died.

4c2l. Jack Diamond was born February 2, 1935 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio. He died of acute infectious diarrhea July 3, 1935 and was buried on the 5th in Greenlawn Cemetery, Scioto County, Ohio.
4c3. Reba Nancy Diamond was born November 14, 1890. She married Henry Skaggs August 1907 in Lawrence County. He was from Wayne, West Virginia. In 1920, they were living in Wayne District, Scioto County, Ohio on Mill Street. He was a track worker. They rented. Henry was 44 and Reba was 30.
In 1930, they lived in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio. Henry was a laborer at odd jobs per the census. They rented for $15 a month. Henry was 56, married age 20, and Reba 39, married age 18.
She died February 1948 at her residence on Front Street in Columbus, Ohio. She was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery. They had ten children. She also had three step-daughters: Mrs. Grave Noe, Mrs. Nokie Nowlin, and Mrs. Tokie Scaggs.
4c3a. Theodoshia Skaggs was born around 1909 in West Virginia. She married a Skaggs and lived on Gallia Street in Columbus, Ohio in 1948.
4c3b. Catherine Skaggs (listed as Katherine in 1930) was born around 1913 in Ohio. She married a Payton and lived on Market Street in Columbus in 1948.
