I found a Mattie and a Thomas Dial on the Guion Miller Roll Index. Go to http://accessgenealogy.com/native/guionmiller/denny82.htm
I have heard alot about the Dial family being Indian so I just decided to check out the Native American Genealogy site. There are also some Dials from North Carolina who are part of the Lumbee Indian tribe. I am having a hard time finding information on my family but some of it is my fault because I know I need to send off for an original social security application to see who my grandfather listed as his parents and where they were from. Just in case someone is going to read this and possibly have knowledge of my family let me just add: my grandfather's
name was William Richard Dial. He was born Sept. 12, 1902 and died on Oct. 27, 1995. I am not sure at this time where he was born but I do know he died in Houston, Texas. So if anyone has any knowledge of this Dial please e-mail me. Thanks and good luck with your search. Rhonda
