So my grandmother looked after you when you went for a visit? I went a few times with my grandmother back in the 70's to see the old home place, which surprisingly was still standing.I'd like to go back there if I could find my way. She told me some interesting stories about when she was a child. She told me about sharing their bedroom with a black snake that laid on the rafters.They were poor, but learned how to survive on what they had.
My grandparents had three children Donald, Janis, and Pat.They raised me since I was 18 months old.I'm 42 now. My grandmother passed away in 1986 from complications due to cancer.
Aunt Bessie was a very sweet woman. She was a school teacher, and a nurse. She had one daughter named Doris who passed away two years ago due to cancer. Aunt Bessie also passed away several years ago. Aunt Verla passed away several years ago also.
They also had a sister named Dora May who married Bill Shay. She passed away several years ago. I'm sure you know all the boys since one was your dad.
