George Liman Clark / Emma Deyo - Are you missing them in your family tree?

Hello,

I'm trying to find my grandparent's origin, but to no avail.

George Liman Clark, born July 30, 1860 in Rochester, NY (supposed)
..........died 1942 in Charleston, WV
..........Father: John Clark; Mother: [unknown]
...............In 1920 census, he said that his father was born in France and his mother in NY.
Emma Deyo, born Nov 23, 1877 in Albany, NY [supposed]
..........died 1929 in Clinton, NJ
..........Father: (Lantis or Luntis) Deyo; Mother: [unknown]
...............In 1920 census, she said that her father and mother were born in NY.
Marriage date & location is unknown
They spent their lives in NJ, where George worked as a farmer and farm manager. After Emma died, George went on to WV.

They were very secretive about their origins. Never revealed any parents, brothers or sisters of theirs. Family rumor, like all good ones, is that he was from a well-to-do family and became the black sheep when he married the family maid.

If you are doing your family tree and notice that you have missing George or Emma's of this approximate age and area of the country, please contact me.
