Nora - I'll take you up on your offer to check the Deyo book. I have been trying to connect the Deo/Deao name with DEYO for years. The 1850 census is the earliest reference I can find for Eli Deao, so his name used to be something else. In the 1880 census, I believe this Wesley Deo is Eli's son. Could you check for Eli Deao or Orlando Deao? Eli's father may have been born in Canada; I don't have his name. Thanks - Kathleen Deao -- kgdeao@gmail.com
