This Mary Dey [1780-] may be of the Danish Dey family rather than the so-called Dutch Dey family. Vide:

leading to an extensive search underway on the Danish family and a joint Dey genealogical research group. There may also be a German family of the same name lurking in these parts. They probably aren't related, as the Dutch Dey family has an extensive genealogy extant with only one Dey intermarriage, that of Helena Dey, daughter of one Derrick Dey who hasn't been traced.
