I'm going to copy some notes I have. I have not spent much time on the Craig Family. From what I have been told, Catherine was first married to Lehi Covenhoven (Conover), married abt 1776.

She might have also been married to Levi Covenhoven.
Catherine Dye m Levi Kouwenhoven, lived in Windsor (NJ) and moved to Kentucky.

The genealogist Mary Lyle also cited this marriage in her notes. She claimed that catharine was the daughter of james dey (1728-1802) and margaret perrine (1733-1817)(I agree, T.R.) but in his will dated in 1795 james said that catharine was the wife of daniel craig. perhaps levi was her first marriage.

DAR membership application 499172 lists James, Sarah, Rachael, John, Samuel and Betsy as David's children. The DAR memebership goes through Rachael who married Allan Gillmore and stayed in St. Lawrence Co. John married Elizabeth Dake; Samuel married Harriet _____ and that family marries into the Dake family further down the line and Betsy married Thomas Dake. I correspond with members of Samuel's and Betsy's lines. Samuel stayed in the Saratoga area. We also had an inquiry about a Polly Craig who may also be in this line. The Dake were 7th Day Baptists in RI. A minister married into the family and came with them to NY. I once mentioned a minister who came to this area from NJ and I think you said that some of the Perrine's showed up in this area, too. I would have to hunt a little to find that information again. Also I may have made some notes on some that showed up in the NYGB books, but haven't had time to review them for several months.

CRAIG, David was a Rev W private from NJ who moved to Greenfield, Saratoga Co, after the war.
