My current interest is in a John Ely Dey (story on my web pages)....his father was William and his mother was a
Phebe Ely....I think I have his father's line OK but can't find Phebe. William and Phebe moved to KY around 1792-93
from Cranbury. Perhaps they went with the sons of William Dey/Dye (father of Lydia who married Richard
Mount). John Dye married a Nancy Ann Ely and moved to Mason County, KY around 1792-3. Interesting that
there is no record of the parents of Nancy Ann either. Perhaps Nancy Ann and Phebe were sisters ? Phebe died and
William and John Ely Dye/Dey moved back to Cranbury area. John Ely's bio says that the family (no mention of
William's second wife) moved to New York -- to the northern part. John Ely Dey married a Sarah Mount - can't
find them in your data and they moved to Warren County Ohio. I wonder if she was part of the families that
moved to Herkimer County? This would tie Dye's, Mount's and Ely's together one more time.
