I have traced my Dey line back to Julia Dey's father James Dey (Merchant) James Dey died before March 1852 nothing else is known.
Julia Dey was born c. 1829 in Aberdeen and died after 1881. During 1881 she was living in Ferry port on Craig, Fife
Julia married James Mitchell in The Free Trinity Church, St Nicholas, Aberdeen on the 12 March 1852, he also died after 1881.
Their childern are:
Elizabeth M Mitchell born c.1854 Aberdeen
Janet Milne Mitchell born 2/9/1856 St Nicholas Aberdeen
James Mitchell born 21/4/1859 St Nicholas Aberdeen
John Dey Mitchell born 12/6/1865 St Nicholas Aberdeen
