Hi Betty,
I have a printed copy of the DEXTER family genealogy that was printed in 1857. The copy originates with Gregory Dexter(B. 1610 in Olney, North Hamptonshire ,England)
According to the genealogy chart he printed (in London)the first copy of Roger Williams Indian Language dictionary. When Roger Williams returnd from England with his Rhode Island Charter in 1644 he was accompanied by Gregory Dexter.
My connection with the Dexter family is though Sophia S. Dexter Born in Rhode Island in 1812.
Jack T.
