Hello Carol,
The information I have came from a great aunt of mine that was interested in genealogy. She seems to be a reputable family historian. It seems that our lines cross as Knight Dexter and Thomas Pell Dexter were brothers.
Knight Dexter (my great,great,great,great grandfather)
Born: 1799 Clarendon, Rutland County,Vermont
Death: 1855 Henreitta, Jackson County, Michigan
Lucinda Mapes
Born: 1800, New York
In your posting you mentioned that Knight had a brother named Hiram. Hiram, is in my records as being Knights brother also.
My family line ended with Knight's father (Delano) being married to Olive but I didn't know her last name. It seems that your family history has solved that for me. You have her maiden name as being PELL and than you have a genealogy of her family. Would you mind sending me any information (birth/death dates and places) you have about Delano Dexter and his wife Olive Pell and their genealogy? Also I am interested to know how you came across this information, are there family bibles or other records? Any information you could provide me with would be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to know my direct Dexter family lineage I could send it to you. My grandfather Vallas Dexter lived in La Grande Oregon where I was born.
