from "Genealogy of the Dexter Family in America", Worden & Dexter, p.76:

Josiah Dexter, b. 17 Sep., 1810; d. 8 Nov., 1890; m. Mary Wing, 8 Sep., 1841.

Josiah is the son of Benjamin Dexter and Ruth Delano.

Unfortunately, nothing further, other than Josiah's siblings and wives: Priscilla, Lucy, Mary A., Lydia, Benjamin, Sylvia, Rufus, and Ruth. Josiah does descend from Thomas D.
