My husband's great great grandfather was William Dexter. According to his son's (William Wyatt Dexter) death record he was married to a woman named "Sarah Balhall." William and Sarah were probably born in the early 1800s. Since I can find no trace of Sarah's surname anywhere at all, I am guessing it is misspelled. I am searching for possible links with similar sounding names such as Bohall, Bowhall, and Beauhall. I believe there is a New York connection, as their son was born and died in Brooklyn. The line is: William Dexter m. Sarah Balhall William Wyatt Dexter (b. 1857, Brooklyn) m. Margaret Murray (B. Ohio,1867) William Arthur Dexter (b. 1892, Brooklyn) m. Helen McCarthy (b. 1892, Brooklyn) If this sound familiar to anyone out there I would love to hear from you. I am at a brick wall so far. Thanks, Karin Dexter
