We are looking for the decendants of Samuel Bennet and Angeline Knapp Dexter. They were keepers of the County Poor House Infermary in Detroit Lakes in the 1880's. According to widows records, the couple had no children, yet she names many. Jim's grandfather was adopted by them in 1891. His birth name was Vernon Orin, and Dexter was added.
We know his brother John was a dentist in Detroit Lakes and died about 1947, he also had a sister Maryanne who was a school teacher.
