Hello. Our Dexter Carpenter was born in Mount Morris, Livingston County, New York State in 1837. We believe his father was Dexter Carpenter also. Wondering if the name Dexter was given them because of previous DEXTER marriage? Have no other information on his parents. Our Dexter Carpenter moved to Canada where he lived the rest of his life in Toronto. Dexter Newell Carpenter was his full name. Any ideas? Thanks. Evelyn Carpenter
