I am looking for information about the Dexters that lived in New York, especially Long Island (Queens and Brooklyn). And also how and where they tie in to Dexters from England, Russia, and Poland. At one point they were very wealthy in Queens and may have been connected to the Romanov's of Russia. My great grandfather was Peter Dexter/Dykstar who immigrated to the US at the age of 12 in 1884 from Poland or Russia and settled in Queens, and he had lots of kids, so I know I must have bushels of unknown cousins out there. Talk to me!
