I do have a Thomas E. Wolfe, born ca. 1830 and who had a son, Thomas, born 1859/60. Same place an Eldredge Wolfe, born ca. 1798 with wife, Prudence. I suspect this was a DeWolfe which dropped the De. Regards, Virgil Huntley
