From SHIP'S PASSENGER LISTS, NY & NJ,1600-1825, p. 129
"Aug. 31, 1662,
In D'Vos, Cap't Jacob Jansz Huys
JAN ALBERTSON from Steenwick, wife and child, 2 and one fourth years old.
Ammerens Clasen, maiden. She appears to have been the sister of TJERCK CLAESEN DE WIT.
Hendrick Albertson, farm-hand
Jan Claesen, farm-hand."

From Pearson's FIRST SETTLERS OF ANCIENT ALBANY, 1630-1800, p. 42
" DE WIT, TJERCK CLAASE, from Zunderland, Holland: 1661. It appears he had one brother-in-law JAN ALBERTSE (BRATT?) in Beverwyck, and another named PETER JANSE in Oosterbemus in E. Friesland, Holland".

This unnamed sister of Tjerck Claessen De Witt was Goeche/Geesje w/m Jan Albertse Jansen. My descent is from their son Jochem Jansen w/m Eytje Borghhardt, (various spellings, inc. Burger), b. 4 Jan 1704, Albany, Albany, NY. Can anyone confirm that Goesche (DeWit) was another sister of Tjerck? May I connect ?
