Again, I assume you mean 1840, etc. :-) I have assumed that Hiram died between 1825 and 1829 because I have seen a reference to the NY Census of 1825 that lists a Hiram Rose in Ellisburg. Lorenzo's obit (Lorenzo P. Rose was his and Louisa's son)from Tonawanda says that his father (Hiram) died before he (Lorenzo) turned ten years old. Lorenzo was born in 1819. So either Louisa and Martin had more children of their own and/or they had a blended family (perhaps Martin was a widower with children when he and Louisa married). I am sending an inquiry to the Flower Mem. Library in Jefferson County to see if they have any documents about Martin Dewey and his family. Thanks for the info.
