Dewer is a "Sept" of Clan MacNab
Dewer is an anglosized pelling of a gaelic word meaning "wonderer."When St.Fillin was on his death bed, he gave his healing stones, bell, staff and other items to 5 brothers. Those brothers walked the highlands, continuing the work of St.Fillin.There is a booked titled "St.Fillin's Relics" which tells the whole story. It is available from Clan MacNab.
Clan MacNab Society of North America is a regestered and sactioned group, under Chief James Charles Macnab, of MacNab, 43rd Chief. The site is "www.clanmacnab.com"
I am the "keeper of records" for the clan. I have over 50 family files, entered into the free "Legacy" program, which can be downloaded from "www.legacyfamilytree.com"
I still have several more files to create and more persons to place in exsisting files.
These file are compiled from the pedigrees and other info which has been supplied by clan members.
One such file is titled "Wm.McNabb 1697" who first wife was Betty Van Aiken. This file has over 700 persons in it, both living and decesed.
As more information hes been provided, some of the files were able to be merged with others. I still have 3 files which I believe can be merged together. Another two which can be merged. But, I am not a genealogist. Therefore I leave the final decision to those in the clan who "KNOW."
If someone is a member of the clan, as I recognize some of the names on this board, or someone joins the clan, any and all of these files are available to them.
I will not post any of these files on the internet, due to them having living persons in them
