Has anyone researched Dewees ties to the royal families of England?
I learned of one line from Llewellyn Gryffyth the last soverign Prince of Wales who was married to Lady Eleanor the grandaughter of King John I of England.
Their daughter was Catherine who married Lord Philip Ivor. Daughter Eleanor who married Lord Thomas Llewellyn. Daughter Eleanor who married Lord Gryffyth Vychan. Daughter Lowry who married Lord Robert Pyllesdon. Son John Puleston. Daughter Margaret Puleston. Son David Angharad. Daughter Gwenllian. Son Howel Lloyd. Son Thomas Gethin Lloyd. Daughter Margaret Thomas. Son William Hugh. Son Ellis Williams. Daughter Gwen Williams. Son John Hughs. Son Ellis Hughs. Daughter Margaret Hughs. Daughter Mary Lee.
Mary Lee married Owen Dewee who was born in 1754 in Pennsylvania before the Revolution. He was the son of Cornelius Dewees and Margaret Richards.
