A Dewar DNA Study has been set up at www.Familytreedna.com
It is a Y chromosome study open to all direct line males with the Dewar surname or spelling variants such as Dewer, Duer, Dore etc.
My brother, before he passed away, submitted a test. We can trace our line back to William Dewar, b. 1795 Dunbartonshire, Scotland. William is in NJ by the 1830s.
