Ok, so just how many Delilah DeVaults can there be?! I too have a Delilah, Roberta (also on this page), has the same one. Our Delilah Devault was born 1811 in Ohio and married 1830 in Ohio, Francis Scholes b1806 Holmes Co, OH. Children for our Delilah are: Benjamin, Sarah, Curtis Allen, John, Mary, Nancy C, Martha, Francis and Elizabeth .As you can see by Roberta's message, she believes our Delilah's parent's to be Henry and Elizabeth DeWalt I lean to the DeVault name, and given Census takers and other govt. official's habit of listing names as they sounded both could be correct! Were your Delilah and George King married in Ohio? as Ohio is his birthplace. Do any of her children's names match the ones above? Our Delilah also moved to ILL - she and Francis were in Cass Co by 1844 when son John was born, and by 1862 in Mason Co, ILL. Delilah is NOT a common name, we must have some connection. Now all we have to do is find it!
