Dave, I'm wondering if your Elizabeth might have had a brother named George W. DEWALT. He was b 1770-1775 and married Elizabeth EMERY, who was the same age as George. Their first children were b in VA, and subsequent ones in OH.
I have very limited info on George DEWALT, and have no idea where he was born. Allegedly my DEWALT family originates in the Black Forest area of Germany near France.
