Great Grandfather Martin DeVries came from Norden, Germany and settled Parkersburg Iowa circa 1894.
His wife was Ella Ebens from the same area.

Great Great Grandfather DeVries ( Martin's father) died in Germany. His wife remarried a Goldhorn from Weener, Germany and also moved to Parkersburg.
