I can not find any information on Lewis Devore (b: abt 1864), married about 1885 to Laura Fritter(b: abt 1868). He was born in Indiana as were his parents. Based on the 1900 US census, he had moved to Cumberland Co., IL. I can not find a Lewis Devore anywhere with any Devore parents. I do not know Lewis's parents names and so, I'm stuck. Laura (born in Illinois) is another problem... It's almost like they just appeared from Jupiter in the 1900 census without any trace before then!
Can anyone help??
