Happy Holidays to all you DeVore family members, here it is a whole year since I posted this message and asked all DeVore's to enter a DeVore family member who has died recently or an ancestor onto "Find-a-Grave". Much has happen since then, there was 741 recorded names last year, today there is 1,131 names, an increase of 153% percent. Like I said, there is a whole lot of our family that is out there, that needs to be recorded. I for one have recorded my fathers and mother family, some aunts and uncles and my grandparents. Yet, with no surving family member that could tell me where my great grandparents are buried and no posting of a Hart or Hardin County Kentucky Cemetery with these are other related family members. I guess i'll never know. Although I always look at the bright side, there was 390 names that were entered this year. Great Job DeVore's!!! Maybe someday I'll come across an entry of a family member, it looks like the DeVore Family Genealogy Forum has bottom out, there was less than a dozen inquries made this year and find-a-grave is a easy way to list a grave site or a long forgotten cemetery and get credit for the entry or remain Anonymous. There are many old single family grave sites that are on ennumberal family farms that have changed hands or ownership over these many years. Each day with the wind, rain and beating sun, flakes of stone, break away leaving another blank stone in the field. Please record a stone, some family member will forever be grateful that you did. May the Lord bless you and your family. Enjoy and be happy and have a Great Christmas and New Year! Larry D. Notify Administrator about this message?
