Silas DeVore is my GGG grandfather. My GG grandfather is Cyrus Farris DeVore born of Silas and Fanny Voorees. Cyrus was born 5/9/1834 and died 6-11-1917. He married Sarrah hibbard who was born 1837 and died 1905. They had Loie Cyanne DeVore who married John Ward Miller. They were married 10-21-1879.
Cyrus DeVore and Sarah Hibbard had Minnie 1859-1860, Loie Cyanne 1861-1940, Flora 1863-1866, Eugene 1865-1938, Bertha 1868-1947, Elmer 1871-1949, Hettie 1875, Clarence Cyrus 1878, and Mabel Pearl 1880.
Silas married Mary Ann Genung of Steuben Co. NY Mary Ann was born 1809 and died 1832. They were married in Milo Ny Dec. 26, 1827. From that marriage came Volney, Ephraim, and Louisa b. 1832, the year her mother died.
Silas then married Fanny Voorhees in 'Steuben Co, NY. She was born Feb. 3, 1809 near Howard, NY. She was the daughter of luke Voorhees and Mary Petee or Petty. She died in 1846. She and Silas had 7 children: Cyrus Farris, Robert, Marion, Luke, Martin VanBuren, Sarah Jane, George.
Silas then married Sarah Susannah Sutton Dec. 25, 1851. They had John T., Eva L., Edward, Charles H. and Arthur.
