Some years ago I posted an inquiry re my de Vogel family who have origins in Langerak then moving to Oudewater, Schiedam.and in the case of my grandfather New Zealand.
The patriach of this family was Arien de Vogel.
His son, Gisjbert, married Hiligje Kartel at Oudewater on 6 May 1742. They had seven children one of whom was Jan de Vogel, my 4 x great grandfather.
Jan moved to Schiedam where subsequent generations resided.
My grandfather, Leendert de Vogel was born in Schiedam on 14 Dec 1867.
Is any one else researching the descendants of Arien de Vogel?
