I have a Mary Devoe who married George Scott. Whilst I have found a Mary Devoe born to Dennis & Mary Devoe in Syracuse New York on the 1850 Census - (I don't have access to the US Census, was just lucky)- I cannot locate a Mary born to a James and Mary Devoe as Mary's death certificate tells me. There may have been an error on the part of the informant, I don't know. Mary was born in the USA circa 1826 in New York. George was born in USA. Both were in Nevada City in 1850/52. Then they left for Australia where they had children and Mary died.
Hoping someone can connect to Mary as I would like to find out more of her family in USA. I am happy to share data on their life in Australia in exchange for family history in USA.
