As for John Devoe, "md 1676 to Jannetje Van Ysselteyn - son Peter DeVoe born c 1685" --I've researched this line pretty deeply, and have come to the conclusion that Peter never existed. (Thomas DeVoe's book has many, many errors on this line.) I've identified 5 of the 7 children of Peter as having as their father Abraham Deffu/Defuh (b. c. 1703) of Palatine fame (see Henry Z. Jones, Jr's book: Palatine Families of NY). Daughter Anna Margareta was b. 2/29/38, baptised 3/21/38 at the Zions Evan. Luth Church, Athens NY., for example. What lore modern line do you have?
