The Thos. F. Deveau 1885 Genealogy has this Devoe/Taylor family in the time frame you suggest, and he was a grandson of a Westchester Co., Devaux:

Benjamin Devoue m. Deborah Taylor; children:
Abigail Devoue b. 1787
Mary Devoue b. 1789
Peter Devoue b. 1792
