My branch of the Devlin family originated in Ireland, migrate to Leeds, England and eventually emigrated to Philadelphia in the late 1880s. My great-grand father, John Bernard Devlin, served aboard the U.S.S. Nashville during the Philippine Insurrection and the Boxer's Rebellion. Any information about John Devlin's parent's (Frank and Mary(McManus)) origins in Ireland are sought. Will gladly exchange any information with you.
