JOHN MICHAEL DEVLIN, a devoted husband and father, born March 18, 1946 in Tulsa, Ok., passed away peacefully to be with his creator October 16, 2001. He graduated from St. Thomas H. S. and Tulane University which he attended on a baseball scholarship. He was active in the Air Force reserve for 20 years when he retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He was a practicing Attorney since 1972. Predeceased by his father, John Francis Devlin. Survived by his wife of 22 years Maria, and children; John Michael, Laura, Deborah and John Mark, his mother Verla, sisters: Mary and Kathy and brother James. He was actively involved in his church where he is loved and will be missed by all his members. He was loved dearly by his family, relatives, and friends, and will forever be a hero in our hearts. Visitation Friday, October 19, Earthman Gulf Chapel, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church, 4411 Dallas, Houston, 77023, Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of Usual rememberances, the family requests donations be made to Harvest Christian Academy c/o John Devlin Athletic Center, 1117 S. Main, Pasadena, Tx. 77506.
