In Reply to: Francis Devlin, Phil. P.A. by PATRICK JOSEPH DEVLIN of 1442

My father was Gerald Milton Devlin b. 4/14/1928 d. 5/13/1977. However, I am not sure that DEVLIN was his father's last name. He was from North Philly and his mother's name was AnnaMarie McKay (Still checking on this spelling). She came from a large family...we think that Devlin may be a name of her maternal heritage (i.e. Grandmother)I know that she was from a family of many children... had a sister named Kate/Kathryn/Kathleen (McKay) who married into the Aiello family (So. Philly). My father had a sister Franny and a sister Marie.. I don't know if their last names were Devlin. My paternal grandmother was never married....
I did find out that my father's father was a bar-owner in No. Philly and later found out that there was indeed a bar in Philly named DEVLIN'S... Coincidental? I don't know, but I aim to find out. I hope that heklps a little, if there is anything that you can share likewise, that would be appreciated.
Thank you.
