the Devlins Came From in Ireland

"The Muintirevlin Historical Society was formed in 1979, in conjunction with the Workers Education
Association (W.E.A.). The first meeting place for the society was a converted barn belonging to Niall Fitzduff.
It started up as an educational unit, promoting woodwork classes under the guidance of Niall and Marie
Fitzduff. There also was art, cookery and calligraphy classes, with all tutors being locals. The name
Muintirevlin means 'land of the Devlins' and back in the early days their chiefs were lords of the territory
along the Tyrone shore of Lough Neagh"
